A Cat-friendly Home. What Is "Catification"?
Cats have a reputation for being remarkably undemanding animals and, as a result, are increasingly chosen by people who, for various reasons, cannot have a dog. A dog, as everyone knows, needs to be walked, trained, house-trained and appropriately socialised and raised. Cats, by contrast, appear to be free from such "inconveniences": they sleep a great deal, do not need to be taken outside and, according to a frequently repeated misconception, humans are useful to them primarily as food providers because cats supposedly become attached only to places rather than to people.
